archaeological context
remarks on archaeological contextThis staircase tomb consisted of two chambers – eastern and western. Each chamber contained a contracted burial. The body in the eastern chamber was facing west with its head to the north. The body in the western chamber was facing west with its head to the south. Between the two chambers a staircase was located where a pottery coffin with a body inside it was found. The position of the body was the same as that of the western chamber.
