archaeological context | |
remarks on archaeological context | Oval burial pit (120 × 110 cm, 90 cm deep) with a narrowed space in the bottom where an oval mud coffin was set. Five mud bricks and a stone were carelessly laid around the rim of the coffin. Another 2 larger and several smaller limestone slabs were placed above the coffin, over this roof was a thick layer of mud. Traces of reed matting were documented under and over the body, near the hands were remains of medium coarse linen cloth. No objects were found in the tomb. |
